The course

The race course takes in all of Duluth’s major bragging points and incorporates them into one race. The event starts above Hawk Ridge, which provides beautiful fall colors and Lake Superior views from the skyline. Next, the course traverses across Hawk Ridge to Seven Bridges Road before participants “Bridge the Gap” with a fun descent down Seven Bridges Road from the Skyline to the waterline. The second half of the course runs along the lake walk following the Lake Superior shoreline to the finish line in Leif Erickson Park.

Miles 1 to 3 are on hard packed gravel. All other sections of the course are on the blacktop.

The Entrepreneur fund

We see our race as an opportunity to Bridge the Gap for women in the workplace. Through the help of the Entrepreneur Fund (501 C3) and the Women’s Business Alliance, we’ve created a Bridging the Gap Fund that provides free business services and access to financial resources. Athletes can choose to donate to this fund when registering.  A portion of the event proceeds go to the fund.

What is the last day I can register?

Online registration will remain open until 8pm on Thursday, October 6th. In person registration may be available at Packet Pickup on October 7th if the race is not full.

Can I get a refund, defer or transfer my registration?
We cannot refund registration. Deferrals are allowed on a case by case basis and are only allowed for pregnancy, medical emergency or military deployment. We cannot allow deferrals for injuries, sorry. Registration transfers are allowed until September 30th. Please contact Eric Borer at eric@duluthrunning.com for deferrals and transfers.

Can individuals who do not identify as cis women run this race?

Yes! We happily welcome everyone who wants to participate and support our cause. Please note we do awards for women only. All participants will receive a shirt and finishers’ necklace.

Does the shirt run big, small or true to size?

The Swiftly Tech Short sleeve shirt runs true to size but it is more of a fitted style.  It tapers in at the waist and flares at the hips. If you want your shirt to fit looser, we would suggest sizing up.

The Metal Vent is a straight relaxed fit for men.

Can I opt out of the race swag?

Yes, there is an option for “no shirt” on the registration site. The necklace is the finisher’s medal so all finishers are registered to receive it. If you do not want a necklace, you may note that in the “notes” section of your registration form.
